Inka Jungle Trail
4 Days / 3 Nights
Daily Departures
This route was created for our more adventursome passengers. It has become a very popular adventure in a very short amount of time because of it´s diversity. You get it all in this journey: Biking, Trekking, AND Machu Picchu. There has always been the Inca Trail to get to Machu Picchu, but now there is a new, more adventurous way to do it. And then, at the end of it all, the big pay off: The Sacred City itself, which you will have all day to explore.
Day 1: Cusco - Abra Malaga - Alfamayo - Santa Maria
The first day of our journey will begin with an early morning meeting at our offices to meet eachother and to have a quick briefing to go over the plan. It will be about a 3 hour ride our first destination, Abra Malaga, where we will have a chance to see some breathtaking views from this 4350 meter point. We will then load up into a bus and continue on another hour long trip to our starting point for the day, Alfa Mayo. When we have arrived, we will have have another quick briefing with our bicycle guide, to go over the game plan for this, the biking portion of the journey. We will then descend down a beautiful, and refreshing route for about 5 hours, passing by lush forest area, waterfalls, and rivers along the way, until we get to our first sleeping destination, Santa Maria.

We will begin the second day of the journey with a quick breakfast before getting an early start on the trekking. We will start with an ascent into the mountainous terrains of the Andes Mountains. We will share some beautiful views of the valleys and rivers that will be all around us. It is a beautiful panorama indeed. We will stop to have a typical lunch on the way to our destination for the day. Upon our arrival to our next stop, Santa Teresa, we will relax for a little bit and drop off our things and then it´s off to the famous Hot Springs. We´ll soak for a couple of hours in the soothing waters of the springs before being transported by van back to Santa Teresa, where our dinner will be waiting for us. Then it is off to bed.

After lunch we´ll continue on to the beautiful Orchid Garden of Mandorpampa on our way to Aguas Calientes. After a relaxing trek through the this jungle terrain, we will arrive the hostal where we´ll be staying for our one night in Aguas Calientes. We will have a litte bit of free time before we eat our dinner and get to bed early in preparation for our early rise the following day.
